Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician Intern to support our team in various engineering projects. The focus of the internship will be surveying and drafting. The intern will spend time in remote areas across southwest Utah surveying for water rights and construction projects. The student will then take the collected data and utilize it for water right proof maps and engineering design projects through AutoCAD Civil 3D software. The student will assist with engineering design. The student will also gain experience in construction project management and construction contract preparation.

Qualifications:

Due to complexities of surveying and drafting it is recommended that the intern is enrolled in the engineering degree program or has had classes in surveying or drafting. Due to the remoteness of water rights and corner monuments on BLM land the intern must be able to pack survey equipment for long distances on steep terrain. Applicant must hold a valid US driver’s license. Applicants who possess surveying, drafting and construction management skills who are pursuing a degree in fields related to civil engineering and construction management will be given greater consideration.
